Default cam swap on '00 SS

Im thinking about purchasing a 2000 SS with a TSP 231/237 .598"/.595" cam in it. Im probably going to want to either step the cam down to a lower lift, less extreme cam or even go back to a stock cam. Anyone willing to do the cam swap and hold onto the TSP cam as payment/partial payment?

you might know but might not, as far as compared to lt1 the ls1 have alot more lift on their cams, you need to look at the duration, that cams similar to the cc306 cam, the lift is only because ls1 have better flowing heads...

I would keep it, you're going to want a cam one day, and it's not THAT big. I put in a 232/234 and wish it was a T-Rex every single day.

I don't think the 231/237 has XE-R lobes does it?

yeah i really had all my lt1 cams researched out, just never took the step to get one. the 306 was just a little too radical for me. I had a 230/236, just never installed it.

Now I have an LS1 and know nothing about the aftermarket cams. I just remember the lt1 cams with lift ~.600" int/exh were pretty extreme...to me anyways.

well dont pay much atten. to the lift IMO, compared tolt1 its about 530, i daily drove my 306 in an automatic car for over a year, and still got 25+ mpg freeway, it was hardly noticeable after half a day, i had the idle set at 900, so it was pretty smoothe all the time, if the cars an auto id keep it, also your are going to want one someday.
