Default 98 Cobra 50k needs engine work 6999

Great body, Never been hit or painted on .Interior is excellent, clean carfax, I bought the car with no keys at the dealer sale, Had transponder keys made and viola a nice tap tap tap. The car runs/lot drives but will need a crank kit.If so inclined you can save cash. I paid low book for the car that is 8k, I don't have to work on it...6999.00 plus tax (gotta charge tax sorry)

I imagine some clown fired it up with no oil or something along the lines. I doubt it has any spun bearings the oil pressure is good etc. You should be able to get it fixed with a fresh crank or maybe turn this one and get a set of new bearings, I've done the same job on 4.6's before it isn't bad I just have NO time.

Since he's a business (or this is going through his business) and not a private seller, is what I'm assuming. If you run it through a biz, you have to collect it.

You pay tax only once on a vehicle. Being I'm a car dealer, you pay it to me and I pay state board. You don't pay DMV the tax in this case. Thank You

nice car, I had one a long time ago. Did you check to see if the noise might be from the chains and tensioners?

Nah it's weird though it sounds like a rod tappin and u can modulate the noise with the clutch..I don't understand it either..I've seen these engines go 200k with maintenance. If someone wants to do the labor they can fix the damn thing for less than 1000 in parts and have a 12k car for in the 8k territory.I'm losing 1000 but when you don't have the time what do you do?
