Have problem getting tires to seat
Mounting tires on factory 10 spoke ss wheels. Tires won't "pop" all the way around the bead. How high can I take the psi?? Got it to 55-60, and scared to go more. Used plenty of lube, even mounted tires on car to roll, still won't seat. Anyone had a similar issue?
I hear of guys taking PSI to 90-100 for problematic tires --
I ask you guys for any help you can offer.

What kind/size of tires are you trying to mount? Blizzaks by chance? lol
It helps some to pull them off the rim and try mounting them again sometimes. It "loosens" the sidewall up.
Otherwise back in my Tire and Lube Express days, we'd take them up to 90 psi and call it quits after that if they didn't seat. Obviously do this at your own risk, but usually a tire that's that hard of compound/sidewall isn't problematic. Be careful

wheel is factory 17x9
tire is factory size of 275/40/17
falken ziex-512's
Haven't tried removing and reinstalling, only breaking rear bead and rotating around (thinking it might be a certain spot on tire/rim) with no luck.
I did notice the wheels have a strange lip on the inside where the tire pops over. It's squared instead of rounded like every other wheel I've done. I am a noob at doing tires at my shop, but have worked at tire shop before...

Let all the air out of the tire set the tire outside in the sun or near a source of heat. Once it's warm or even hot push the bead down and lube the wheel as well as the tire. Remove the valve core so the tire can air up quickly, don't be afraid to go past 40psi but don't go up to 100psi. That's just crazy. I have mounted thousands upon thousands of tires and never gone near 100 psi to seat a problem tire.

I lubed with mount/demount lube, I also tried dawn liquid detergent... I aired to 50-55 psi or so and let sit for several days in front of heater vent at shop. Still no luck. And yes, I had the core out.
GOT THEM TO POP TODAY. Positioned my toolbox between me and the tire. Inflated the crap outta them. One popped at 67-70, others popped between 85-90.
I haven't mounted thousands, but I would say several hundred and have never had to take it above 55 psi. Thanks for all the input from everyone!!
