How many street miles will slick get compared to ET Street Pro and Hoosier DR
Trying to find out how many miles you can get out of a slick on the street. I put about 3,000-4,000 miles on the car per year. I've run the 275 MT ET Street Pro and 325 Hoosier DR. Both last me a year to a year and a half with 3-4k miles and 3-4 trips to the track per year.
I dont ever go on the interstates. Max speed I see on the streets are 45mph and I'm usually going to a car show or BBQ meet. Had to say that because someone is going to be concerned for my safety.
And I know someone is going to say, "buy both and change them depending on where you're going". Which is what I used to do, but I got tired of swapping wheels so I've been leaving the DRs on all the time and sold the extra wheels.
So are slicks compounds close or the same as either of these tires? How many miles are you guys getting? Should I expect less or the same miles?

We ran on slicks for years, "seasonal." IDK exactly how many miles to expect, easily 2K. Can say that even worn to the wear bar they stick better than DR's on the street. Many will claim that after X number of heat cycles, they're no good. On the street, we didn't find that to be true. We're not talking about constant high speed cornering on a road course here. If caught in the rain we limped home @ low speeds.

I can promise you they are not the same compound as a DR, they are softer. Im running the Hoosier slick with an R2 compound and I dont expect them to last long, but I dont drive near as much as you and have a car hauler. Based on what you said, and the fact that I know slicks arent terribly expensive I say run em and dont even worry about mileage. But if I could guess, id say expect half the mileage of the radial.
