Post wheel sizing chart

new wheel chart.
The left side would be the inner wheel well.
the center line is the mounting surface.
Common sizes from the threads I've read,
and the 3 sets I've had.
zr1's, zo6's, fikses, hre's, stock ect.
If you see mistakes let me know.
scroll down for bigger chart

Maybe Xsta Z 28 could proof read it. He's the wheel fitment guru. I love the layout of this chart though. Pretty easy to follow. Kickass job man.

Any way for a slightly bigger pic? I haven't finished reviewing it, but it looks like some good info.

So, if I'm reading it correctly - eg. rear ZR1 - GS offset - 50mm. Rim width is
11", from mounting surface to the rear is 7 & 11/16ths, that would leave
3 & 5/16ths needed to clear the fender lip. Cest Correct?

You are close. You need to take into consideration that the 11" is the dim from the inside of the tire mounting bead. So an advertised 11" wide wheel could have a phyiscal overall width closer to 11 3/4". The typical backspace on a 11" ZR-1 is around 7 15/16" and mathmatically giving you 3 13/16" to clear the quarter lip.

Ya, the rim lip width is a slight plus or minus number on most of them using the info I got from measuring the HRE’s. Some rims have a slightly bigger lip but those are close. I used the same lip width to calculate the backspaces that are shown.
The stock 9” SS rim was 9 ½” out to out - The 11” HRE was 11 7/16” out to out.

Are you an architect? Those plans and writing look like a drafter's writing.

Yep, Motor head architect with a background in structural engineering.
I was going to dress up the chart a little more but I liked the rough look of it.
More motor head-ish.

Hmmm. So a 15"X10.5" with 7.25" backspacing should just fit, right?
The sale on this particular wheel will probably vanish by the time I can afford it, but I am just wondering.

Yes it will fit.
It will have a 7 3/8" backspacing
so it will stick out 1/8" more then the stock rim and be 3/8" in more.
.....as far as I can tell.

So a 10" wide wheel no matter what the diameter would fit best with 6.75" of backspacing or a 38mm offset, according to this chart.
On an 02 Z-28 at least.
Correct?

38 mm offset would work great on a 10" wide wheel.

I am wanting to send my factory rear 01/02 WS6 wheels off to be widened to 11" so I can run a 315/35/17 tire. Is it possible to do this without having to do the bfh mod or use a spacer? If so can you tell me what BS and offset I would need. I want the end result to look just like the factory set up but with a wider tire on it and I'm not sure if I have the graph figured out entirely. Any information is greatly appreciated.
