245/45/17 on zr1's?
hey guys i have a new set of tires that i got for my benz when i got it then2 weeks later i got some rims for the car now the tires are just siting there.
will 245/45/17's work on my zr1's?
just curious. i have seen 245's on a set of 10 spoke ss wheels and they looked ok a little streched but it dident look bad but im just curious if it safe.

They'll look like ****. Not really sure how "safe" they are. I know one time I was forced to crusie on 245s on my zr1s a few yrs ago. Never had any problems, but then again, They were only on for a couple weeks. Also depends on if you have the 9in or 9.5 inch wide zr1s. I dont think i'd run 245s on a 9.5 in wide wheel.

im not shure if they are 9 or 9.5. how do i tell? i havent seen any gm stamps on em but it might just be hidden in the inside of the spokes under some crud lol.
keep the info comin guys and thanks.oh and are the replicas 9 or 9.5?

weither its 9 or 9.5....dont do it, it will look like **** especially on an f-body. If it were a GTO then it wouldnt look that bad since 245's fill those smaller wheel wells better than an F-body.
IMO anything smaller than a 275 on an F-body looks out of place, unless its a v6 f-body then its like whatever lol.
EDIT: Im assuming your wanting to run a 245 all around

you can do it. 245s are put on 9" and 9.5" wheels all the time. they make for a better tire on a DD especially when you get shitty roads and wide tires that wanna pull your car everywhere. they wont look the best (like said, the sidewall has to stretch a bit) however it's done all the time and it's not a safety hazard at all really. if your not road racing or auto crossing, hell even if you were, its not unsafe.
