Stop What You are Doing and Watch the New Camaro Drift
The new 6th generation Camaro is turning out to be one of the most ridiculous performance platforms introduced this year. Not only did the Camaro match the mighty Z/28’s times in both the quarter mile and 0-60 miles per hour, but it was only two tenths of a second off the Z/28’s time on MotorTrend’s figure eight course. That’s hugely impressive to say the least, especially since it did that with tires that aren’t up to the Z/28’s spec.
To get a better sense of the new car though, Automobile Magazine decided that it would see just how different the new car is compared to the previous generation. Taking the new 6th generation to Gingerman Raceway, the magazine put the Camaro through the ringer of tests. And even though they were looking to find the finer points of the car, the first minute is just full of actually pretty spectacular drifts. Which honestly, is awesome. The last Camaro would not have been able to pull the same level of initiation as this one does.
