Is Cadillac Developing an ATS-V Black Series?
The Cadillac ATS-V is just now getting ready to hit the production line, and it marks only the second real performance car Cadillac has ever built. However, with not a single one in the hands of the consumers, or seeing any real sales data, Cadillac is already looking towards the future of the car.
According to Cadillac’s ATS-V chief engineer, David Leone, the brand is already hard at work at creating something that’s even more hardcore than the standard ATS-V. And for those that need a refresher, the standard ATS-V makes a whopping 464 horsepower driving just the rear wheels.
In Leone’s statements to Car&Driver, he said, “we might have something down the road that is a little bit more aggressive.” Our industry insiders say that the “little bit more aggressive” will be something similar to AMG’s Black Series.
We already know that the ATS-V’s engine is under stressed, especially considering the ATS-V.R makes around 600 horsepower with the exact same engine. But what else does Cadillac have up its sleeve? Only time will tell so stay tuned!
