Watch as a full bolt-on 5.0 Coyote tries to handle three GMC Sierra shop trucks built to party and don’t like to lose! Check it out!

If you guys love racing action and some badass trucks, I have found the the perfect YouTube channel for you! Introducing Freddylsx on YouTube, Freddy runs a performance and modification shop named Project Torque out of Conroe, Texas that focuses on modifying some sweet trucks to be a lot more fun than stock.  Thankfully he has been keeping us updated on his shenanigans for several years. He has been posting Chevy truck-related content consistently for the last three years. If you enjoy watching the progress of some awesome shop trucks with new content a couple of times a week, definitely add this channel to your watchlist!

This time around we are joining the crew looking to make some a newer project of theirs, a classic C10 Chevy truck. The truck will be looking at a make over in the near future with the help of Chino’s Custom Interior. However, this is just a teaser for the real deal happening later in the day. A friend of the shop named Oscar was due to stop by to have a friendly race (or three) with some of the resident shop trucks. The guest truck being a 13th Gen Ford F150 with the 5.0-liter Coyote engine and a 6-speed auto, which stock makes a little under 400 horsepower. However, Oscar has put a bit into the truck and it currently full bolt-on, so it should make a bit more than that.

After establishing a $20 minimum bet on the races plus the terms of the race itself, they were off the the streets. A couple of 30 rolls were in order in addition to agreeing to some races from a dig as well. Before they took off, Freddy did put drag radials on the GMC Sierra 6.0 he is driving to hope for some more traction on the street. With a cam and long tubes, the GMC Sierra makes around 400 HP as its tuned.

They also decided to bring out the “Silver Bullet”, another Chevy 1500 also running drag radials and mods. To finish off the line was another Coyote-powered Ford F150, which is also modified.

Once the trucks were able to line up, it was obvious that it was going to be a quick contest. The Coyotes would line up first and the shop’s Coyote would pull a couple car lengths on the first run. Along with the rest of the shop trucks also holding their own even though they weren’t directly racing. Oscar’s F150 would then go up against the Silver Bullet in a dig and take another loss. No surprise especially considering the drag radials equipped to the Chevy.

When it was obvious that the newcomer Ford would not be able to take any races that day, the GMC Sierra would go up for a run against the Silver Bullet from a dig. This would be the best race of the day with the Sierra taking a nice lead off the line only to see the Silver Bullet catch up slowly as they got deeper in the gears. Freddy states that the Sierra is still having issues with the transmission shifting points, especially in third gear. Next thing on the list for the cammed 6.0 is to get it retuned for nitrous to see it make some serious power.

After returning to the shop with some Ws under the belt, Freddy and the gang didn’t ask Oscar to pay up and called it all in good fun. We like that.
