Chevy Truck Goes Head to Head Against GT500
You line up at the lights. Waiting. Breathing heavily. Waiting for the lights to turn green. You in your Ford Mustang GT500. You know you have over 500 horsepower. It’s fast. Way faster than most things on the road, or even at the track. You can take anyone. Let them come, nobody can beat you. Right? Wrong.
You line up at the lights and a stock looking 1974 Chevy pickup pulls up. You laugh to yourself. That is until the lights turn green and that same 1974 stock looking pickup launches harder than a pro stock drag racer. How, how could this happen? How could your 500 plus horsepower Mustang be beat?
Well, that Chevy pickup just happens to run a 12 second quarter mile and sounds like the devil. While we don’t have any information on what the owner did to the truck, it sounds as if it’s just a big block with some go faster goodies tacked on. There’s no hint of turbo or supercharger whine, so our money is on just a big block naturally aspirated. Take that Mustang.
