I’ve liked the Cobalt SS since the first time I spun one around the block: They’re fast, they handle like a go-kart and if you stay off the loud pedal, they’ll knock down 30mpg. I came seriously close to buying one when Chevrolet added the turbo motor (commonly known as the SS/TC), especially when the SS/TCs package was available on the four door sedans. Seriously, what a perfect sleeper for daily driving duties? In addition to a capable chassis, the turbo motors respond extremely well to mods and are beyond hardy! Just take note of this cool Cobalt coupe throwing down 570whp and gobs of torque at the TX2K14 Dyno Day.
I know it’s not a V8 and it’s FWD. For a daily driver or canyon carver, a Cobalt SS is hard to beat!
