This LS-Swapped GMC Syclone is a Hellcat Killer

Remember the GMC Syclone? The early 90’s, all-time all-wheel drive hot rod truck with a 280 horsepower turbocharged V6 Mitsubishi motor? Yeah, that one. Well, it just beat a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

You may not need to be reminded about the Dodge Hellcat’s performance stats, but here they are anyway: 707 horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque, 8-speed transmission and tons of new tech. So how did the little Syclone manage to beat it? Chevy LS power, that’s how.

While most Syclone fans consider it sacrilegious to do an engine swap on a 3000 unit limited production high-performance truck, this cool dude along with his dad and brother did it anyway. The result is a massively powerful and turbocharged LS V8 capable of cruising at 160 mph down an airstrip!

Once the video pans over to the engine bay, one can witness the massive block and turbo pipes that make all of these ludicrous figures a reality, while the owner rattles off specs and all he’s done to his beloved little GMC Syclone.

Tip of the hat to you, Sir
