Hennessey C8 Corvette

Texan tuner will have a 700 HP or 1,000-plus HP package to suit your dream C8 Corvette dreams.

For those who know, Hennessey Performance isn’t a company that shies away from big power. Actually, it would be best said that their main concern is making the numbers as big as mechanically possible. For the Texas-based brand, numbers like 1000 HP are just a starting point. Recently we saw the team over at Hennessey put together a couple of monster versions of the Camaro ZL1, boasting crazy power numbers with a warranty. However, with the release of the C8 Corvette, its now its time to shine.

It’s hard for the C8 not to take up the spotlight. It is without a doubt a revolutionary vehicle. Hennessey is planning on taking this already stunning mid-engine supercar to the next level with their engine and performance package. Thanks to an article by Hennessey Performance, we can learn all the details about what will unlock these extreme power levels.

To start, the brand-new LT2 engine powering the C8 Corvette will be receive healthy upgrades. This includes new pistons, rods, and other key strength components. Not to mention the upgrade of the original dual clutch transmission. You didn’t think the stock trans would be able to handle twice the power level did you? In relation to how they plan to actually make 1000+ HP, that will be thanks to a twin-turbo system built in house.

However, this package is so much more than just power upgrades. As we all know, power is easy, but doesn’t necessarily translate to a faster car. There has to be supporting modifications to really keep the package cohesive and working seamlessly. For this, Hennessey will also be releasing a carbon fiber upgrade package. This includes goodies like a front splitter and rear wing to keep grip as high as possible. The company will also be offering a Brembo brake upgrade, a custom Penske suspension package, and wheel and tire combos.
