Here’s the Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition
When Chevy debuted the new Corvette Z06, they did so with the new Corvette Z06 C7.R racecar. It was the first time the two had debuted together, but the Corvette and the Corvette racecars have had a long standing symbiotic relationship throughout the cars history.
Undoubtedly, more and more parts from Chevy’s racing department have made their way onto the street car as the years have progressed, culminating in the new C7 Z06 which is definitely the most track capable Corvette ever.
Now however, Chevy want to solidify that relationship even more with a special edition Z06 that celebrates that racing heritage. Called the Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition, only 500 will be made. The special edition includes the top 3LZ trim, the Z07 performance package, carbon brakes, adjustable aero, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and a host of cosmetic treatments that visually represent the C7.R racecars.
The only color available will be the traditional yellow livery of the Corvette Racing Program and black highlights. Chevy though hasn’t disclosed the price of the car just yet, but a safe figure would be in the low $100,000 mark. So what do you think, do you want a Special Edition Z06 without a horsepower bump?
