Hybrid Tech: Big-Block Smart Car Heads Down the Strip

Well. Almost.

He’s only running 13s which is a little ridiculous considering how much engine there is. The Smart weighs about as much as a packet of Gushers, so it should be doing a lot better than 13 seconds. In time they say it’ll eventually run 10s, but that’s still a considerable amount of effort. I think it’s worth it though. This is, basically, a big-block, tube-framed go-kart.

Can’t buy that at a dealership.
