Jay Leno Pointlessly Raced a C6 Corvette Against an IHRA Dragster

Let’s get it out of the way: He lost. But it was cute for the cameras, I guess.

In last night’s episode of Jay Leno’s Garage on MSNBC, Leno put a C6 Corvette up against 2015 IHRA Jet Dragster World Champion Elaine Larsen and a jet dragster on the strip.

Is the Corvette C6 any match for the jet dragster?

Larsen was up for the challenge:

Leno had about a 10-second head start, and he got up to about 100 mph before Larsen even started, but against a “car” that goes 300 mph in a matter of seconds, that’s all kind of irrelevant. The full episode should pop up on his website within the next few days.
