Leaked info: 2014 Camaro to receive LS7 from the factory
Although many 5th Gen. Camaro fans already know the good news since Camaro5 broke the news a few weeks back, but since seeing the post in late December, I haven’t been able to shake the thought of a factory equipped LS7 Camaro.
As you’ve probably discovered by now, I’m a fan of naturally aspirated motors and in that genera, the LS7 is hard to beat. It spins to the moon (7,000 RPM to be exact) and makes 505 HP and 470 LB-FT in the Corvette, so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t do the same in the 2014 Camaro. Sure the LSA-equipped ZL1 still makes more power, but we can only hope the LS7 will come equipped in a lightweight, stripped-down package. Although no model changes have surfaced yet, Chevrolet did hint at a possible return of the Z28. We can see it now, a lightweight LS7-powered Z28: YES PLEASE!

Imagine a corner-carving Z28 that’s similar to the venerable 1LE, but with the all aluminum 427 cubic inch LS7 under the hood!
