Next Generation Camaro Spotted Running the ‘Ring
Last week we saw some spy shots of the next generation Camaro running around the Nürburgring area, but there wasn’t any of it running actually on the infamous track.
Now thanks to some eagle eye, and eagle camera’d Camaro fans around the ‘Ring we’ve got video of it on the track.
First off, what’s immediately noticeable is this isn’t the EcoBoost competitor, this is the proper V8 edition that we’ve all come to know and love.
Second, it’s cornering hella flat. The old SS cornered like a battleship, rolling to one side or the other. This car looks way more in line with the current Z/28 cornering approach with stiff dampeners and stiff springs.
It also looks a lot smaller than the current generation of Camaro, and that in my opinion is good. Using the new ATS chassis was a stroke of genius.
Not only does it reduce the weight of the car, thereby making it faster and more fuel efficient, but it also helps the bring Chevy into the 21st century. America is no longer the land of massive land yachts, and the last Camaro was definitely a yacht.
This video is making me super excited for this new car, hopefully it debuts soon because I really need to have a go in it.
