OPTIMA Batteries to Host OPTIMA Ultimate Film Festival at SEMA

OPTIMA Batteries has long supported amateur motorsport and the enthusiast community, especially with events like the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Challenge which showcases the best in backyard builds and DIY garage efforts in an attempt to find the best street and track car. Optima’s newest challenge in the automotive sphere is their Ultimate Film Festival. Whereas the OUSCC challenges how well automotive enthusiasts can build and race their races, the OUFF is all about seeing how well those enthusiasts can frame their cars through the camera lens and tell a story. The winners will have their films shown off at the OUFF at SEMA 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada and offers top level exposure and the chance to rub elbows with highly influential players in the automotive scene.

Interested? You should be. The OUFF is an open-invitation event with very open rules as to what can be screened at their film festival, so expect a variety of entrants and films of all types. Even cooler is that the fine folks of OPTIMA have made this event open to the public to watch the finalists’ films. If you’re headed to SEMA this November, check out this registration link for a shot to attend the event:

We are looking forward to seeing what makes the cut at this year’s SEMA.

He obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science at the Ohio State University in 2013, then pivoted from covering politics and policy to writing about his automotive adventures, something that, he says, is a lot more fun. Since that time, he has established connections with most of the world's major automakers, as well as other key brands in the automotive industry.

He enjoys track days, drifting, and autocross, at least, when his cars are running right, which is uncommon.
