Now Cadillac has debuted its flagship, the CT6, in New York for this year’s auto show. And well, I’m not exactly impressed.

The Chevy El Camino is one of those car oddities that never really caught on. Sure, they’re loved now by a certain group of people, myself included, but the general public just never understood why you would need a car pickup with a big motor.

According to de Nysschen, he stated that the twin turbo V6 found in the new ATS-V would make its way into the new flagship, as well as a turbo 4-cylinder and a twin turbo LT5 V8 which was a complete revelation.

This week’s Dyno Blast video features a slightly worked 2009 Cadillac CTS-V sedan being worked out on the rollers.

Back in the early 2000s, Cadillac was happy to build you a car powered by a Northstar V8. One of those wasn’t enough for Warren Mosler, though. He needed two for his Mosler TwinStar.

This video shows a guy having a good time spinning some wide — and fine — donuts in his CTS-V. The tires squealing is always a sure sign of fun, and the tire smoke is another.

Right now, Cadillac is on sort of a roll with performance cars. Between the ATS-V and the brand new CTS-V, it’s all about the horsepower right now.
