The Chevrolet Camaro is a common sight beside drag strip “Christmas trees.” The Camaro Turbo AutoX concept that Chevy unveiled at this year’s SEMA show was designed to look at home between the orange cones of an autocross course.

Let’s face it, we here at LS1Tech really feel that the LS engine is the greatest V8 in the world and it takes some real work to make another V8 beat it.

For some unknown reason to science, math, and man, Chevy has decided to put into production a truck shown off at SEMA. I’ll let you sit down before reading the rest of this.

What you see before you is the Classic Recreations CR1 Camaro. It’s practically all-new, and that’s exactly how you want it. It has a brand new, wet-sump LS7 that pumps out more than 507 horsepower, coupled to a six-speed Tremec gearbox and super sticky wide tires all the way around.

This year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada was one for the record books. The show was literally bigger than ever, with more people and vendors displaying their wares and custom cars than ever before.

As you all are most likely aware, the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas is currently getting underway, and because of that, we’re seeing some absolutely wild things coming out of the show.
