Discovery’s show Street Outlaws is absolutely ridiculous. It’s all staged, it’s not street racing, they have cops closing down the streets, and the outlaw nature of it is purely for the cameras. This has been proven time and time again.
Apparently in Oakland, racing heads-up in broad daylight is just something people do. I’m not complaining. These guys have a setup that makes for good video. It helps that the cars are always cool as well. Case-in-point: ARP Garage’s Turbo LSx 280Z and Savage habits fourth gen. The video keeps the details sparse, which makes […] More »
All I can say is, DAMN! This first Gen. Camaro hung with a built AMS Alpha 9 GT-R from a roll despite it’s TH400 trans, poor aerodynamics and its naturally aspirated motor. *Spoiler Alert! OK, so maybe the GT-R pulled it once the Camaro got into high gear, but we have a sneaking suspicion that […] More »
As usual, Bad Bowtie productions has come through with some really good street racing video. The cars are fantastic too. What’s interesting to me is how well matched they all are. Even though I adore the CTS-V and love the Corvette in this video (try not to fall in love with that idle), I have […] More »
Put two 400-something horsepower muscle cars on a road next to each other and… Well, you know what happens next. The camera car is an ’02 Trans-AM with a forged shortblock and a built 4L80E. I love the WS6 and all… but this Mustang really stands out. For one thing it’s running an LS3, which […] More »
Look, I love the RX-7, but I also love a little thing called torque. Rotaries don’t have any of that until you start turbocharghing the begeezus out of them. The great thing about the LS is that it already has torque and makes a buttload of it when you add in turbos! See how this boosted […] More »
Wait… what? Shouldn’t that be the other way around? In what bizarro world does Cadilliac’s premier luxury sports car get outrun by this. A closer look at the Cobalt reveals that it’s not quite stock. This is the turbocharged SS after all. The owner has it pushing 25 psi of boost and running on E85 […] More »
