Well established tuners at Specialty Vehicle Engineering created a monster Camaro that will outgun most supercars!

Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) constantly churns out insane versions of vehicles like the GMC Canyon and Silverado. And of course they haven’t forgotten about cars either. New for 2021 is an ever hotter, fire-breathing Camaro. Additionally, it sports a pretty legendary name. The Yenko/SC Stage II promises to deliver insane performance for enthusiasts with large wallets.

One Hot Camaro

SVE introduced the Yenko branded Camaro several years ago. Sadly, they’re not the Yenko models of old. Originally, Don Yenko, owner of Yenko Chevrolet, converted brand new Chevys into performance models. Ultimately, word got around, and genuine Yenko vehicles became well known for their crazy performance. As a result, they’re highly sought after. SVE apparently obtained the rights to use the name on their performance Camaro models.

SVE recently announced the latest version of their insane Camaro, the 2021 Yenko/SC Stage II. For starters, the company requires owners to submit a Camaro SS 1LE for modification. There’s several important reasons for that. Firstly, the package comes with an oil cooler, transmission cooler, rear differential cooler, and dual outboard radiators. Additionally, there’s all the other items that help with performance. We’re specifically thinking of the magnetic dampers, sport-tuned bushings and springs, thicker stabilizer bars, the limited-slip differential, and the powerful Brembo brakes.

Basically, SVE employs their black magic on the LT1 to turn it into a certified monster. Fortunately, they’ve shared their recipe with the public. SVE heavily modified the 6.2 liter LT1 V8. Their variant now displaces 6.8 liters. They’ve also included an aluminum block, forged internals, a supercharger, larger throttle bodies, and finally, a high-flow exhaust. Ultimately, buyers end up with a Camaro rated at 1,050 horsepower and 900 Ib-ft of torque. As previously mentioned, this all gets dropped into a donor Camaro SS 1LE. The Yenko/SC Stage II is only available with the 6-speed manual.

Spiritual Successor

In addition to all the legit performance upgrades, SVE included some special cosmetic options for buyers too. SVE designed a custom carbon fiber hood for the Yenko/SC Stage II. Unsurprisingly, they’ve slapped a whole bunch of Yenko stickers on the Camaro as well. Similarly, forged aluminum wheels in multiple patterns are offered. Those 20 inch wheels will feature Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car 3 tires with 285/30ZR20 tires up front and 305/30ZR20 tires out back.

Interested buyers should note that the entire package costs $69,000 just by itself. Additionally, SVE requires a Camaro SS 1LE as a template, supplied by the buyer. Currently, Chevy wants about $44,000 for a brand new model. While the entire package is pricey, the performance puts many exotic cars to shame. SVE stated their intention to build 50 examples of the 2021 model.

SVE seems pretty focused on reviving legendary names from General Motor’s past. They recently released several Syclone variants for the GMC Canyon. Originally, the Syclone existed as a performance version of the Sonoma pickup. Their new, unofficial model packs a whopping 750 horsepower. SVE also slapped the Yenko name on the Silverado. The 2021 Yenko/SC Silverado probably isn’t something Don Yenko envisioned, but it is nonetheless a pretty cool ride.
