I thought about bigger cubes also but was always a bit biased toward the 383....probly cause of nostalgia for days of old. The 383 was always well respected and somewhat feared. The 6 speed is awesome but needed the A4 for the other family members when they needed to drive it (which was not often)

"Just busted that @$$!" lol.
Nice looking sleeper. I'm aiming for mid 11's with stock appearance (stock wheels, stock hood, and something that LOOKs like full stock interior).

I did a seat swap. Ditched the Camaro seats (hurt my back on long rides) in favor of some WS6 trans Am seats which are much more comfortable and IMO alot better looking. Best non performance mod yet. I am getting the seats done in two tone tomorrow by having the inserts on the seats done in the color of the car(maroon). Been wanting to do this for a while.
Thanks SStriker

True as that may be alot of low 11 cars and 10 sec cars are fitted with cages, yada, yada, yada.....

Well actually I installed a full cage in my car even before I raced it the first time when it was a low 13 second car. The most important thing for me is safety!! I am currently in the process of putting my child through college at the moment.
For some reason most people think performance instead of safety.
Anyway congrats on the times and keep having fun with it.

Thanks 2002camaross35th.
N2racingls1s I hear your concern about safey and your point is very valid. If my car were to get any faster than what it is now (low 11, 10 on dope) I would put a cage in it without hesitation. Lets look at some other facts though, there are many production cars now on the market that are running 11 sec 1/4 mi. without a cage or rollbar (Nissan, Chevy, Ferrari, Lamborghini to name a few). The reason is that technology has compensated for the deficiencies in cars (and driver) of later years (i.e. better suspension setups, traction control, ABS, computer talking to cars in real time to compensate for driver error, etc....). I have invested alot of $ into upgrades that many people take for granted and don't do ( suspension, bracing, tires, on and on adnauseum to help keep my car runnin straight and dependable and safe on the track). Lets just say the only thing I am missing is a cage. The car goes through a very rigorous inspection prior to even seeing track duty, usually 2-3 days before it touches the tarmac. Truth is you don't see too many 10-11-12 -13 sec cars bite it at the track, at least not where I run, or have run. Usually its those damned single digit cars where all the havoc usually occurs or the "Fast and Furious" street racer whose drunk, high etc and runnin where they should'nt be.
You are right though Safety first is critical cause "even monkeys fall from trees" and Murphy's law can kick in any time.
