Default Another 10sec. sleeper with fast 92 results

http://www.racingperspectives.com/cg...-03-21_283.jpg

Happend a few months ago at gateways icebreaker, just now getting around to posting the results.

Went
1.517 60'
6.936 @ 98.03
10.932 @ 123.34

All motor about 55-60 degrees.

Now I went back at a midnight madness event with my new Fast 92/92 combo to get before and after results

After the fast picked up 21 hp on the dyno

went
1.506
6.899 @ 98.08
10.893 @ 123.54

All motor about 70 degrees, so considering it was hotter out and it went faster I was somewhat impressed but was hoping for a 10.7 pass.

Car appears fully stock from the outside. Stock wheels, pinstrip, exhaust tips, and no tinted windows. Also full interior. Pop the hood and the only thing that looks out of place is the fast 92, I may paint it black.

I used to say that too. Nice runs into the tens. I used to do MM but I can't stand the wait in the staging lanes anymore. So damned crowded it takes the fun out of it. I now go on wed test and tune nights so I can run to my hearts content.

Brad, your car is more of a sleeper than mine. You can make alot of money from racing in my part of town.

how can you get that raceweight with full interior, with no skinnies and stock appearing, i.e. stock k member, a-arm, stock brakes etc... thanks

well if you look close the front wheels are narrowed to 6.5 in. I do have a black k-member bmr, no bumper supports front sway, power seat delete, no air bags, I say full interior because it has all the panels and seat, lightweight carpet. No door bars, windsheild washer, no power steeering, no a/c. a few other things as well, but at first look it appeares stock, looking under the hood kinda gives it away

How do you hook on stock 8 inch wheels? What sort of power/tires are you using?

The key is having a light front end car, auto helps, and good tires. I have cut a 1.599 on nitto 555r 245/50-16, and a best of 1.506 on mickey Thomson et street 255/60-16.

I have my front sway bar off, no bumper support, battery in the back of the car bmr k-member, no emissions, hell, there's nearly 120lbs off the nose right there. Oh and no a/c, no p/s, another 45lbs.....taht all really helps, also i have all tubular suspention with poly bushings, motor mounts to make everything stiff.

I drive mine everyday, except sometimes i get the gsxr-600 out. The car will still get 20-22 on the highway and 15-16 in town if i'm not in the gas pedal

Ya my biggest concern is getting into a front end collision without the front bumper support.

I don't blame you there one bit, that is a risk i take everyday, but then again you don't see to many cases where the bumper support saved a car. MOST of the time someone gets completely sideswipped or hits a tree at 70mph, no bumper support will help there. I usually drive safe on the street, the only places i will race is a well known straight area where you can see cars coming. And I always try to pay attention to other cars on the street, cause that will always be your biggest threat, is some ol'lady on her cell who doesn't see the red light.
