Yeah, I'm sure I'm going to need to work on the suspension some more to get it to work. How streetable is the RXT clutch? The RST is awesome.

In good east coast air and a decent 60' it would go easy 10's.....We don't get that kinda air around here without a foot of snow on the ground lol!

I tell ya what if I had it to do all over again I think I'd have spent the money for an aluminum block.....the extra 110lbs on the front of the car really sucks, especially when the car is already a pig.
I was beating myself over the head before deciding on the iron block...I really didn't want to do it but cost was definitely a factor.

Thanks alot man, she's a money pit but nobody expects this hobby to be cheap. I really wanted to do a 402 but it just wasn't in the budget at the time...unfortunately!

RXT is very streetable with very little pedal effort, feels like the LS7 clutch just can hold and handle alot more power.

My combo has finally come together. 6.0 with the PRC 237 heads and Patrick G cam. I'm hoping for a 10.99 so we'll see where it goes.

No videos yet, but hopefully after tuning this coming week, I'll have some track numbers by next weekend.

I run m/t et streets also. If I don't do a 5 second burn out with over 100 mph wheel speed, my 60 ft time looks just like yours. When I really roast them it will dead hook. Went from 1.6 and 1.7's to a 1.55 60 ft. and went 11.22 at 121. Slip the clutch around 4,600 rpm too?

I'm a little confused. Are your times with the auto or the manual?

New times coming soon. The new combo made 448 rwhp on a mustang where the old combo made 426 on a dynojet. I don't know how that will translate into track times but we'll find out soon enough. The lq9 is a bit heavier than the ls1 so I'm figuring a gain of .3 and maybe 3 mph. We'll see. If the car can run a 10.9999 at this time of the year, i'll be happy.

I sure hope you're right. I wish I could've gone the route you did.

I have hit a good time but I know it has more in it so I haven't changed much. Probably just start spraying at the track now to see what it runs. I'm hoping it holds together for the fall/winter so I can try and get deeper in the 10s na. Never satisfied lol

I havent made it to the track with the new motor yet, but hope to soon. If it doesnt hit 10's i may just be sick, or I cant drive. My car goes 3800lbs, full interior, a/c ect.. plus cage. 441 made 510 on a very stingy mustang dyno. So should be round 560 or so on a dynojet. It went 11.19 with the 402.

It's been nothing but problems since starting this project. I don't know when I'll be back up and running again. I thought all systems were go a couple weeks ago but more "issues" surfaced. I do have a new toy to play with in the mean time though

Have you made that 10 second pass yet? With that much power, mid 10s should be easy!

Well I finally made it to the track with the new combo for the first time yesterday. It ran a new best of 10.94 @ 126.9 with a 1.53 60'. Car is still full weight and is probably somewhere around 3860 with me. I am still running the stock SS wheels in front with M/Ts out back. I suppose there is room for improvement if I choose to lighten the car up a bit, but I like it as it is...a street car with everything it came with fully functional.

It has been a long 10 months but I'm happy it has all finally come together.

Awesome!! Thats badass man. Gotta love reaching a goal that's been long in the making.

As for me...I'm at 11.26 with my NA 347. I've still got improvements to make but I know the last .26 is the toughest to chip away.

Thanks man. You're exactly where I was 10 months ago when my other motor expired. I didn't want to remove weight, which would've been the easiest thing to do to drop et, but I'm sure there were other small tricks I hadn't tried that would've gotten me some more power. I hope you reach your goal sooner than later.
