Default My first 10 sec passes ( 150 shot first nitrous passes)

Finally got to make a few passes on the 150 shot last night. Pretty pleased with the results considering I have a couple of areas to work on to better take advantage of the combination. Learned a couple of things and will make some tweaks on the window switch settings and possibly some small adjustments on the suspension. Also, as expected I'm on the rev limiter before I go through the traps.

Now , on to the track passes! I need to work on getting the nitrous to come on right when I leave. Seems to be a slight delay before it hits ( I played with the window switch settings some) still need to work on that. I want it to hit the tires while the suspension is in motion and help plant the tires. Right now its coming in a couple of feet out and allowing the car to unload some, and then tries to "knock" the tires off

As expected, I am also on the rev limiter before the end of the 1/4. Just depends on how hard it knocks the tires off determines how soon I'm on the limiter on the other end. Out of four passes, the distance where I had to lift to stay off the limiter was any where from say 30' to as much as a good 100'

Made four passes, weather in the low 90s and down in the mid 80s after sunset and humid as hell. DA probably in the 1600-1800 ft range.

Car is knocking the tires off so I'm not getting much gain in my 60 ft times (when I get my suspension tweaked in and the hit coming in sooner) the car will be more impressive with a decent 60 ft that I know it is capable of. For a heavy *** car ( 3775 lb raceweight) it has some potential even on the 150 shot.

1st pass- 10.73 @ 128.06 mph on a horrible 1.72 60 ft. 1/8th mile was 6.96 @ 104.77 mph (knocked the tires off pretty hard)

2nd pass- 10.37 @ 131.04 mph on a better but not good 1.55 60 ft. 1/8th mile was 6.64 @ 105.21 mph.

3rd pass- 10.53 @ 129.98 mph on a 1.60 60 ft. the 1/8th mile was 6.82 @ 105.88 mph

4th pass- 10.37 @ 131.58 mph on a 1.61 60 ft. the 1/8th mile was 6.67 @ 106.48 mph

My average pass on motor in this heat is usually around 11.30- 11.40 @ 120.00 on a 1.65-1.68 60 ft. So, as you can see I am not gaining much at all in the 60 ft times on the spray. If I can get it to 60 ft in the 1.40s I should easily run 10.0s- 10.10s.

I am also losing time on the big end when on the limiter

I think I should be able to get some 9.90s fairly easily if I get these two issues lined out.

I'm stoked, it was a blast! Car felt really good on the spray. Not too bad for a 3800 lb heavy "Pig" hehehe! Driven 75 mile round trip to the track and back.

I think it has some 9.70s in it 106 in the 1/8 is rollin hard! I think it should have a 1.40 60ft in it no problem.

I agree on the 1.4x 60 ft times, I don't see why it should not do that. The other limiting factor is getting to the finish line without getting on the limiter. I just don't want to kill the engine until I get some better valve springs on it, so for now 6800 is the limit. Gonna try to lock the FTI triple disc converter up in 3rd gear around 100 mph or so and see if that will let me stretch out a little further.

Cant wait for some cool air! That was fun

I have a couple that are poor quality, I think I need to find a better camera man

I will try to post them up.

This is my 1st pass on the 150 shot had to pedal some- 10.73 @ 128mph on a lousy 1.72 60ft

This is my 2nd pass on the 150 shot- 10.37 @ 131 mph on a non stellar 1.55 60 ft

don't worry about a just before the line shift. It always helps et and mph!!!! autos are best locked after 1st to 2nd shift.

Its a 2007 6.2 L92 out of an Escalade. Car is fully loaded car that is actually heavier than a stock due to the weight of the 12 Bolt & 4L85E tranny and I'm sure the aftermarket suspension parts and bigger exhaust add weight as well. Raceweight is usually 3775-3800 lbs depending on how much fuel I have in.

I drive the car to and from the track, its about an 80 mile round trip.Usually make the roundtrip on 3/8th tank of fuel.

That's very impressive... Any idea how much power it puts down NA and then on 150 shot?

I guess around 460-470 rwhp on motor, and roughly 610-620 rwhp on te 150 hp shot ?

I had the car dyno'd back in December, it still had a 4L60E and a loose converter and only dyno'd 432 on motor and 583 on the 150 shot. I was having tranny issues at the time and decided to put the 4L85E in instead of dumping more money into the 4L60.

According to some online calculators I have used, those higher #s are probably closer. The car has gone 11.27 @ 121.17 mph on motor on a weak 1.639 60 ft due to the nitrous spec converter that's tight for motor passes. But, I have to say it drives pretty well on the street. I hope this converter really shines when I get the nitrous hit coming in to help flash the converter harder, don't see why it should not do some low 1.40 60 ft times.

Those four passes were the first nitrous passes, and I was a little conservative on the launches after it knocked the tires off on the first pass. Next time out I will try to bring it in quicker and see if I can get it to launch better. I think I could see some 10.0s. I also want to try and lock the converter ( FTI 3800 triple disc nitrous spec) in 3rd gear and let me stretch closer to the traps without getting on the limiter.
