Though I don't have a 383, I see no reason why you can't reach your goals. It sounds like a pretty stout setup. If your cam matches up well with your heads, 10s should be in the bag especially at a 3400 lb raceweight.

If you can get it to 60 foot in the 1.40's with you setup it should break 10's easy. Good luck!

The times in my sig are with the same 383, but with different heads and cam and a turbo. I did end up going 10.0 @ 134 on a 100 shot though.

IIRC reason being why you don't see too many 383 setups is because of the price, usually guys go with 402s or 408s for around the same price as a 383 setup.

My 383 N/A last year ran a 7.26 in the 1/8th mile with a stock ls6 intake/TB and stock 243 heads. That equals about an 11.3 in the 1/4. Should be able to hit 10s on motor with the PRC heads, Fast intake, 90mm TB and bigger cam. I know I could get there with a bigger converter and an aftermarket torque arm easily. btw my 60fts were consistent 1.56-1.58s with the stock torque arm.

I'm currently at that crossroads LS1 383, LQ4 408, or LS3.......Too many options

A friend of mine has an almost stock camaro running 7.0's all day long in the 1/8 which I believe converts to the 10 second range in the 1/4
Car is a Stock 02 ls1 z28, upgraded to ls6 intake, ls6 cam on stock 241 heads and ls6 valvesprings, long tubes, nitrous converter and a 100 dry shot. Car only has bilstein shocks and running a 265 radial. 1.5 60'.

If he can do that pretty much stock, I don't see why a freaking 383 wouldn't, lol.

Stock 2002 Z28 should already have an ls6 intake.

Has to be earlier, 01-02 had the ls6 intake, 98-00 didn't. Also the 98-2000 had the EGR as well and the LS6 intakes didn't have that.

My SBE went 10.92 @ 126 with a stick and I'm sure I was heavier than you. That was at almost 2000 feet. You should be there.
