Default 10.10 @133, no 9s yet

Weather wasn't as good as the 1/8 mile passes I made a week ago. Still got some tuning to do and probably try a different converter. Once all sorted out it's got 9s in it now .

This is going to sweet when it happens. Its just a matter of time from now.

What converter are you looking into ? I personally think you may be a click away on the rebound etc on the suspension from a 9 sec pass. The mph is there.

I'm going to send my spare back to yank and see what he suggested, I personally think if it's tightened up 500 rpm on the shift extension it will be faster. Let it drop back to 6000 on the shifts instead of 6500. I'm not touching the one that's in the car ,it works great with the Old reliable LS2 that I ran 10.24 with.

I went back to the track and ran a 10.04 with the pt4000 converter. I then swapped to an ss400 per Yanks suggestion. I ran a 10.07 with the ss4000, it picked up slightly in the 60 with the ss4000 put lost a little mph .

It's geared 4.10 now ,wouldn't want any more gear. I'm swapping to a solid roller cam and see what that does

Definitely picked up in the 60!

You tempted to try to pull some more weight out of it?

Yes it leaves harder for sure, you can feel the difference. The SS series converters hit the tires harder but are not as efficient. It's a trade off and it done what I thought it would do. Picked up in the 60 and fell off on the other end to a wash. My car is still full interior with a 6 point cage. I don't want to pull anything else out. I don't have AC or power steering. It's as much race car as I want. I drive it to the track which is almost a 3hr round trip .

Combo might want even more converter, years ago we had Yank TP4500s.

What heads and intake, is this a stock compression LS1? Full exhaust?

ZZ, when is the last time you refreshed the transmission? At that kind of power with a 4l60e you could be slipping clutches in 3rd and not know it.

John it has 821 casting Ls3 heads ported on the exhaust side only, fast 102 with mid length runners. It's around 11.9 compression.
Launch the transmission I have in it now is a Level 3 performabuilt, it don't have as many passes on it as my Level 2 did. By my logs I'm not seeing any slip comparing 2nd and 3rd gear. This new engine did loosen up the converter though. It doesn't drop any lower than 6500 on the shifts.

Nice, so the engine is a 6.0-6.2?

Pump gas?

What is the shift drop?

My 5th gen went 10.90@125 @ 3850 raceweight with 9.5:1 compression, ported LS3 heads, 228/243 VVT cam, under drive, rod modded stock intake, and 1 7/8 headers. Was about a 4000 stall and with 3.91s and 28" slicks.

.020 LS2 with 4" crank. Drops to 6500 on the shifts. It's on e85 , I have a flex fuel tune.

What do you run for timing?

Do you have any thoughts on the Fast 102 vs a ported and rod modded ls3 intake manifold?

28 degrees, I think there is a few hp to be gained with a fast . Depends on the combo and what you want to spend for what you gain. That's my 2 cents
