Nice times Jon. It's good to see a fbody with bolt ons running the time you did. There is a lot left in your combo.

The 3550 race weight, is that with driver? What brand trans (company) are you running?

Yeah that's an estimated weight with me, I'm 210. IH8FORD and I built the transmission. Parts wise it's between a level 2 and level 3 performabuilt.

i think i have a damn turd. i run consistant 12.6. i have TR224 cam, tsp 5.3L 2.5 heads, ls6 intake, ported stock throttle body, 25% powerbond pulley, 3.23 gears, long tubes, tsp catted Y-pipe, gmmg, lid, etc. i could only pull a 2.0 60ft time on my stock stall. i don't know if my track is slower or if my car is a slow piece of crap. i don't have any weight reduction but still. i recently put in a pt3800 so i hope that helps a ton. i am still impressed with your times...

Well I gained 7 tenths in the 1/4 with the stall and only about 3 tenths in the 60'.

If you didn't gain a full second I would be surprised. The mods you have don't do much for the 60 but help once you get going. With that stall and your mods you should be cutting some 1.5 60's. Weight reduction would help a lot too. Also you didn't list a ram air kit, they are easily worth 2 tenths and 2 mph. Lots of people over look that. Without that I probably wouldn't be running 11s.

i actually don't have a ram air kit. i recently just put the converter in with a built tranny, new kyb agx shocks, relocation brackets, lca's, umi tunnel mount torque arm, panhard bar, front upper a-arms, fast toys 85mm lid, ARH 1 7/8 headers and ORY, strano springs, and new brakes and rotors. i have a ported fast 92 on the way and i need to pick out what throttle body i want to use yet. i will have to move on from my nitto drag radials because i know they won't work. i will be upset if i don't hit 11's.....

Nice 60 ft times for Fayetteville. It suppose to make it to 45 degrees Sunday with 30% chance of rain so it might be open. See you there.

I was only going to Fayetteville since Rockingham was closed. If it's warm enough Rockingham will be open on Saturday. I prefer the 1 hour drive over the 2 hour drive. Also, I won't have stupid music in my videos.

I just weighed it with very little gas and I took all the extra junk that was in the car out and it weighed 3450lbs. So it will be at least 70lbs lighter than last week, plus about 10 degrees colder. That should only help my chances of making the SI list.

I suspect a combo of suspension, tires, and tune are the culprits - in that order. Don't see you mention or list any of it butt a 2.0 short time with your mods says a lot, especially about suspension and tires.

EDIT: just saw your next post. Let's see what your new stall does and give us some more info on your tires and launch technique.

That could be right. I always just assumed that he wasn't spinning. Because if he was, it should be obvious why he isn't running any faster. And you never know about a tune.

i wasn't spinning on the nitto drag radials. its not like i ran it 20 different times. the few times i did run it, the car ran 12.6 and wasn't spinninng any of the runs. i couldn't hold the rpms up very high with the stock stall. i was around 1000-1500 rpms each time that i ran. i know i haven't reduced weight and i wasn't running light wheels or anything. it was consistant: 2.0x 60's and 12.6x every run that i made, which was only a few. enough with my car, this is your thread. your car must move to say the least.

That's what I was thinking, though you never actually said it. In a stock stall/gear car you won't even be to 3000 rpms at the 60' mark. And most of the mods you list are known to hurt low end power. The mods that did help low end probably aren't enough to overcome the lose. Which is the reason for needing a stall. Screw low end power.
