Default PT4000 results (11s w/ bolt-ons/stock manifolds)

After getting rained out of going to a 1/4 mile track last week I thought it was gonna get rained out today. It just just in time for the track to open and really didn't think it was gonna hook for ****. Fayetteville motorsports park did a good job of drying and prepping. Out of 10 passes I only spun once.

Previous best was:

1.883 - 60'
5.324 - 330'
8.113 - 1/8
88.76 - MPH
12.565 - 1/4
109.54 - MPH

That was on the stock stall using draglites on the rear with regular radials. They just wouldn't hook with the PT4000 so I ran my 17" WS6 wheels with M/T drag radials. Comparing them side by side the WS6 wheels are a good 10 lbs heavier.

The best pass I got today with the PT4000 and heavier wheels was:

1.604 - 60'
4.778 - 330'
7.492 - 1/8
89.87 - MPH
11.859 - 1/4
112.67 - MPH

Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yb2L3gEMsM

My mods are:

Lid
homemade ram air
!MAF
ported TB
stock LS6 intake
electric water pump w/ 180 tstat
stock manifolds/cats
magnaflow catback
PT4000
built 4l60e
torque arm
LCAs w/ relocation brackets
panhard
SFCs
stock 3.23s
Weight reduction (pretty much anything that I could take off and would be unnoticeable) Estimated raceweight is around 3550lbs.
Draglite skinnies out front and 17" WS6 wheels with M/T drag radials in back.

Congrats! That's great and makes me look forward to getting my gear all on and done... and waiting for the track to open.

So first time was stock stall and just radials? I couldn't get in the 12's at all like that.

So heavier wheels today and still running stock manifolds. You got some more to go then!

Yeah the 12.56 was on regular radials and stock stall. I ran at an 1/8 mile track with the same wheels/tires and I got a 7.57 pass, but I had to roll on the throttle. I couldn't just slam the throttle down like I could today. So the lighter wheels definitely helped, but they are just borrowed anyway. Plus it looks much better with the stock wheels so I don't really mind giving them back.

I also had almost 3/4 tank of gas and a trunk full of ****. I'm gonna take that crap out and try to run an 11.7 pass next weekend.

Also last weekend the DA was around -300' this today it was ~0'. So that might have slowed me down a few hundredths aswell.

I tried everything from flat off idle to just over 3000. 60s were all within about a .04 range. From about 1500 to 2500 was the worst. My best 60 was about holding it at 1000.

It's kinda hard to hold low rpms with this stall. It just revs up so quick with very little throttle. It doesn't help that my throttle sticks just a little.

You're out of luck cause I don't have either.

At the track it jumps to about 5000 and goes quick to 6200 then it never goes below 5300.

On the street it's anywhere between 2000-3000 depending on how much gas I'm giving it. And it just stays at that rpm until it locks up at 52mph. You can barely feel the shifts at part throttle.

What tire pressure were you running? Why isn't it hooking when you launch? 1.60 is a good 60ft for your et's. I only get 1.57-1.60 60fts from my 3rd gen, and I'm running 10.9-11.2 @ 122-126, and I launch mine off the line about 2500 rpm (anymore than this and the car moves). I'm running a 4500 stall.

Good Runs.... gives me hope that i might actually be able to make high 10's low 11's after my H/C/I/stall.

It is hooking. It only really spun once but it was early in the day and it had rained up until about 2 hours before the tracked opened. And even though they dryed and prepped it pretty good, the right lane was hit or miss for a while.

Plus I was running 30psi for the first 2 passes, but once I spun I let it down to 20psi. In the video on the 11.95 pass it squeals a little and that is the worst that it spun the rest of the day.

I wouldn't settle for anything less than a 10.9 with heads and cam.
