First time out this year... Does this look right?
It is a 99 built auto trans am 3800 stall, prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads, torquer v2, fast 92/92, 1 7/8" long tubes, mufflex y pipe with 4" bullet dumped, and k&n fipk intake. Car still has 3.23 gears... I also have a set of 28" tall nitto nt55r drag radials. When I got the car the tune wasn't great, it would surge and die. It had a ls6 intake and mac mid lengths with 2 1/4" exhaust. Since then I added the fast 92/92 and long tubes and have yet to get it retuned. I am new to the LSX world but for the mods I think the mph looks a little low. I am not sure how much a tune will help it. Anyways here is the slip

Not sure what raceweight is, car isnt light by any means. Only weight reduction is cobeau forza seats and no spare. Car has a half tank of gas during the run as well. The track's altitude is 492 ft above sea level.

I have debated on putting gears in it, but I am going to hit it with a 150-175 shot. But 4l60e's have a really high first gear where they either usually "spin or are on the back bumper". So I figured if nothing else the big tire and stock gear would help my short time. I don't think the 60' is bad for a 18" wheel. I weighed the car today it weighed 3400 even with a full tank and a lot of random stuff inside. I think if I clean it all out it would be right at 3350 without me.

Well if you plan on putting 150-175 shot on your car, keep the stock gear and you could run a 26" tire ET Street Dr without any problems at all. But if you wanted to gear it...3.42's would be just fine too. Once you get her tuned right very easy low 11's NA and easy mid to low 10's on the hit. I wish I could find a 92/92 FAST set-up !!

Ehh, with ur current setup( unless u 4got 2 mention suspension upgrades) and weight of vehicle, dont think u gotta worry about being on the back bumper..anyways Y not try a progressive NO2 set up, as opposed to hitting it off the launch? still think gears are needed..Whats ur goal?
