Default Several 12.1's (Running Joke @ Street/Kills Forum)... then 11.9

Menacing black clouds, lightning bolts and wind gusts brought me an 11.9 run, as I exorcised the 12.1 deamon which clung on my back for 6 months.

For months I was running 12.1's @ 117-118mph on 1.9's. On TSP231/237 cam and stock heads. Nittos DR's. Usually crisp, Winter weather.
The fact that I couldn't break into 11's (clearly enough MPH there) was becoming a running joke in the Street Racing & Kills Section.

After putting on TEA 1.5's and switching to BFG DR's, I ran an 11.9 @ 117.5mph on a 1.8 at the crack of a Summer Thunderstorm just before the track was shut down (weather killed

This was a few months ago.

I don't go to the track often (I can count the number of times I've gone on my hands), so I was very happy to hit 11's in my commuter car.

Besides the Moser 9", All my suspension is stock, down to the TQ Arm and LCA's. No subframes either. The best 60' I've cut is a 1.79, so there's room for improvement with some suspension mods.
I need to go back and run with some good weather.

A couple of pics from that day:

Good job Carlos! I BETTER be next. My 2.1 60's ain't going to do it though, but with a Two Step, my launches SHOULD be much better.

See ya in a couple of months. This time I will bring my own tire gauge

Hey Tom, what's up.
I saw you asking a few questions in the Nitrous forum a few months ago.
I think I'm gonna go with a TNT F1 kit soon.
Good luck with your next mods.
I'm thinking of going to Moroso next Wed.

AHA! And I thought you would NEVER consider N20!! Damn this speed thing is addicting!

I too will get the TNT. Now I need more $ for 3.73's, intank fuel pump, maybe tuning (?), and plugs.

I'm going back to Moroso in November. It's too damn hot out

Yeah, it's damn hot. But I've been itching to run the car. It's been a while.
The spray is so tempting. I'm thinking 75-100 shot. Just enough to keep me out of reach of most things that I would want to be out of reach from.

Cool man. Now I don't know if I'll hit 11's, since my numbers are a little lower.
413/383 (SAE). I am thinking of a ported TB as well, maybe that will help a little. Your dual exhaust and big cam seem to help you.

If I do N20, I will take it to your place.
