[QUOTE=mattf2]It's a damn shame this knucklehead from Michigan wasn't at Cecil 2 weeks ago, he could have watched me go 116.7, twice, and another guy go 118 in a Z28. Both stock internals. Rev limiter is set at 6400.
The only thing in my engine that didn't come from the factory are the new spark plugs and Mobil 1 5w-40.
If I had an unlimited budget, I'd go w/ 5.13's in a dana 60 and shift into 5th at the 1000'.[/QUOTE

Sure it is and sure you did. What people claim and what is fact are to different things. I am not going to debate this crap with you - if others want to believe your statements then so be it.

As someone else said look at the stock internals list and see for yourself...im sure all the guys on the list are lying... Stock LS1 cam 198/202 500/500 117 @ .50 - stock LS1 heads are adequate at best. All the bolt ons in the world are only worth approximately 35 rwhp. Just how do you think that a stock LS1 engin in a 3600 # F-Body can produce enough HP to trap at 116 - 118 MPH. Please enlighten me .... MPR is 99% HP related.
Or are they really saying stock GM internals - GM Performance makes a lot of after market parts, then that makes it a possibility. But, if their say that the motor( LS1) has never been disassembled, then I find that to be extremely hard to believe.

So you're calling me a liar?
I guess you're entitled to your opinion.
52,000 miles. 3 clutches (the McLeod is the only way to go), 1 grenaded (sp?) rear, second set of tires, original brakes. The engine has never been apart. Even has the crappy ls1 intake. Runs better and stronger than ever.

Face it. Stock internal cars can't hit 11's. It's impossible. I guess he'd really **** to see that my 2.73 geared car made it there stock internal.

People dfef arent talking about a stock f-body with a few bolt on running 116-118 mph

The fact that you are calling us bullshitters......probably a good indicator as to who the "relatively slow" one is. Take care. Drive safe.

What part of stock internals do you not understand? Hell, full weight with only a cutout, TSP lid, and a Grantelli meter done to my wifes car it went 109.34... with her driving. I'm sure with all the bolt-ons, stall and a shift kit gaining a measly 7 mph would not be problem getting. You need to get out more. Cause you obviously don't know what LS1's are any car for that matter are capable running.
