Good thread!

It really emphasizes the importance of the converter in these A4 cars. I went a 12.17 @ 113 with mine making 402 RWHP. I have a PY3400 that only goes 2600-2800 (flash). I cut crappy 1.81 60fts but the 113 shows it should do 11's. I didn't spin the 275/40 R17 M/T radials either.

I chose the converter because I was going to go Procharged at some point, but those plans have been postponed. I have a Yank SS4000 that I am hoping will bring the car to life. I would like to see 11.60's at 115-116 with a low 1.60 or high 1.50 60'. It is a stock weight 2000 SS.

Rel3rd - what size tire and wheel do you run in the back? Also, what gear?

I use 275/50/15 MT Drag Radials on 15x10 ProStars @ 20psi

342 gears

Like you said, the converter makes all the difference in the world. Of course the cam helped too.

I made a few rear suspension changes and can't wait for track to re-open.

Great time. One question though, you said put it in 'D' when you run, I assume Camaro's have 'D' and 'OD'? My car only has 1 2 3 and D, I'll be hitting the track up on Sunday for the first time in a decent car in almost a year so I need to polish up. Thanks in advance!

Dont mean to hijack thread my apologies! Awesome times your car is running REL3RD!, damn I love A4s!, To answer your question about the 'D' in Trans am Trust well I have a Trans am also the 'D' in our cars is overdrive. I would assume you would put it in 3. When I had my camaro at the track I would put it in D to race. I am putting my trans am in 3 at the track which I assume is regular drive. Please correct me if im wrong.

Care to tell us what you changed?
I want QA1s, just don't want to drop that kind of coin right now...I already spent a decent amount this winter.

I should be making passes on 3/15 with the Vig 3600 & Bogarts on MT radial 275-50-15s.

Replaced my bent factory torque arm with a Spohn chassis mount adjustable one.
Replaced stock panhard bar with Spohn double adjustable chrome moly version.
Replaced stock rear shocks with Strange adjustables.
Replaced stock lower control arms with older SLP boxed ones with poly bushings.

Car wants to hook on the street now, even with regular old Yokohamas, so I look forward to trying out the new stuff with the MT drag radials back on.

I may removed front swaybar as well...not 100% on that since car seems to transfer fine.

I also lowered shift points by 200 rpm since it seemed like it was just about to nose over right when it used to shift. Was 6700 rpms, now 6500 rpms.

6th pass: 11.76@115 w/1.63 60' (car was actually TOO COOL, which it doesn't seem to like)

Can't complain about a 112,000 mile engine/car/suspension with a "baby" cam and a converter yanking the driver's wheel up 2 or 3 inches on every pass....and still running a STOCK Catback, lol...

Nice and great times!! What kind of wheels and tires are you running?
