New best and new launch pic again, lol...
Damn bracket car!
First pass off of the highway...
11.77@115 w/1.64 60' (same as last week's best so I knew I should get a little quicker)
2nd pass: 11.75@115 w/1.64 60'
3rd pass: 11.75@115 w/1.64 60'
4th pass: 11.74@115 w/1.61 60'
5th pass: 11.67@115 w/1.58 60' (NEW BEST and First 1.5x sixty foot!)
6th pass: 11.76@115 w/1.63 60' (car was actually TOO COOL, which it doesn't seem to like)
Can't complain about a 112,000 mile engine/car/suspension with a "baby" cam and a converter yanking the driver's wheel up 2 or 3 inches on every pass....and still running a STOCK Catback, lol...

Awesome times and outstanding 60" for such minimal mods VERY similar setup to what I was running. Thats the same 3600 vig converter I'm selling here https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/816380-precision-industries-vigilante-9-5-ls1-lock-up-converter-stall-speed-your-choice.html
Congrats on your 1.58 60"

Congrats. I can tell by the stock suspension that your rear is squating pretty good. Looks like the rear tire is leaning inwards. I think with stiffer rear suspension you probably have a low 1.5 in it. -Mark

sometimes I wish I had a stalled auto...
then I drive it on the street.
man for the small amount of stuff you have your car is impressive. stock catback to!.
1.58 60 on stock susp. is amazing as well.
get some susp. done and see where you stand...car leaves hard.
whats the plans for the car?

That is correct.
Whatever a fully loaded, leather interior'd, Monsoon stereo'd, 1/2 tank of gas'd, with a 280# driver 2000 A4 SS weighs with ProStars is what mine weighs.
P.S. Good luck w/converter sale. I got mine in near new condition for $450 shipped, but yours is still a good price IMO.

Plans are up in the air. I've already had quite a few mid 11 second cars and one or two 10 second ones as well, so I am undecided on whether to just stay naturally aspirated and make some suspension mods so that the car will run mid 11's anywhere/anytime, or to take it to the next level and maybe spray it with some nitrous and add all of the required safety gear...something I really don't want to do yet again...
I'm hoping that with a few minor tune tweaks (mainly a slightly lower shift rpm), an upgraded exhaust with cutout, and some slightly stiffer rear suspension, that it'll go EASY mid 11's, even in the heat of the Summer.
I'd rather not do a rollbar, and I refuse to gut the car out any since all of the options are what made me buy the car in the first place.
In a nutshell...
I have no friggin clue what the plans TRULY are at this point...LOL.

My car is just a toy, not really a daily driver, so it isn't bad at all. You definitely lose some mileage due to converter slip at lower speeds, but it's usually due more to the adrenaline forcing the gas pedal down, than it is due to the extra rpm's at lower speeds. If drag racing is even a possibility, the converter definitely made the biggest difference of every mod except the camshaft.

they went from a 1.810 to a 1.632....just with the shocks alone.
a reliable mid to low 11 second car is better to me than a faster car breaking...

Awesome story and links. Thank you.
The only thing I cannot help but wonder is...if I'm already 60 footing at and sometimes below what they did WITH high dollar adjustable shocks, how much lower can my car's 60 foots possibly go?
Is a high 1.4 sixty foot attainable (or should I say realistic?) in a mid 11 second, full weight car?
