I would say you are capable of starting a new engine build.....
Seriously with that many miles you can technically mod it but if you want to go faster keep it the way it is and start your next build on a stand. Save up, get parts here and there, and before you know it you will have a really nice setup you can throw in.

trap speeds dont lie , trap says low to mid 12's on a tire that works for the car and the poor 60 foot backs that up .
miles all depends on if a banana head was driving it with raised shift rpm's or someone hoping it would stay together , I have a front drive 3800 SC 4 door car with 220,000 miles that still rips off low to mid 13's anytime I want it too and a 2000 z with 233,000 miles full bolt on 6 speed car stock internals in engine ,trans ,and 10 bolt thats been 11.9's and still rips , trans doesnt shift at rpm's anymore so I dont track it but 233k and motor is still strong but I dont ask it to go past 6,000 rpm ever.
plan for the worst with your other build but dont be shocked it the engine keeps taking it for quite a few more miles if you beat it with care ( that just doesnt sound right but there is a right and wrong way to beat on a car , keep rpm's under 6k , keep oil fresh & full , keep it cool , watch your guages)

I have Nexen 275/40/ZR17 street tires and my best 60' was a 2.0, only mod was a cutout like yours. That's actually a decent trap speed for a stock LS1. just work on that launch (could be a badly prepped track too) and you'll see 12's.

I wouldn't rush another engine build because LS1's will take a beating. First problem I have EVER had with my engine was a few weeks ago I cracked a head gasket... at 187,xxx miles

the whole 1 tenth off your 60' = 2 tenths up top doesnt hold true once your 60' gets to a certain point lol. Since you're not a stalled automatic car- Realistically, mid 12s if you were to get it to hook and shift quickly. You will also want to raise your rev limiter to 6500, assuming your tires are 26" or shorter. But seeing it's a 98 with 175k miles on it, you might want to freshen it up lol

Looks like the CAR is capable of easy mid-12's......looks like youre capable of 14's and need A LOT, i mean A LOT of practice..... get some tires and go practice on a backroad launching at 3500rpm til your clutch is gone or you finally can get if off the line and moving with no bog and very minimal tire spin...
