Default 02 SS ran a 12.4

M6, i have a 228r cam, ported 241's, fast 92/92, kooks headers to a magnaflow cat back and an slp intake. but to inform you i think my wires are messed up becasue ill get random power loss at high rpm about 5500. and the wires are from autozone lol. anywayssss
i ran on nNT5R's in the rear.

60ft - 1.9538
330ft - 5.3588
1/8 ET - 8.1277
1/8 MPH - 89.26
1000'ET - 10.4752
1000' MPH - 104.80
1/4 ET - 12.4670
1/4 MPH - 111.78

and when it has the power loss its not a misfire. its like the car is screaming then bam! losses around 2/3 power and it cant really clim anymore. but if i let off i can get on it again immmediatly and its fine. im replacing the wires on thursday and track day sun.

Considering the mph and the issues you're having, a 12.4 is better than I expected

What was the DA ?. Has the car been tuned with the 228r and the ported 241s ?

i have no idea what the DA was, and ya its tuned. i put on some msd wires and new plugs and it helped the problem but its still hardly noticeable. but the car is in storage until next year. thanks for the responses guys, it does help.

Ya that da isn't doing you any favors. Check the crank sensor. I had the same issue a while back. Would pull hard to 5k then it's like it hit a wall and started backfiring and spitting

It doesn't back fire or sputter it just really draws back and loses power. But I will definitely check it out though.

I had a similar issue with my 02 SS a few years ago. I relearned the crank sensor and it fixed it for me. Don't know why but never had the problem again

ya i tried a relearn but it didnt do anything for me. car would run just fine then at 5500 rpm its like it hit the revlimiter and just wouldnt pull past it. op i would def swap it out as theres really no way to test them. just make sure you get an acdelco unit the bwd or auto store brands ones seem to have issues

My tuner uses hp tuners. I guess I can have him just hangout with me for a day and go cruising lol. Until it happens I guess. And ya I'll get a new crank sensor just for peace of mind.

if you have dual valve springs then I would check to make sure one of the outers isn't broken

Yes I have dual springs. They have 1k miles on the new parts. I really doubt one broke that fast. And if it was a spring it would be easier to replicate. It didn't do it all the time.
