Well, readjusting my schedule for either next Saturday or Sunday now. This is getting absurd! Too hot, too wet, now to cold and too wet!

Yeah, I know...
Yeah, but I've been doing the old rain dance in reverse... hoping it slows the rain enough to get in the full day at the track before the skies open up.
Update; Just caught the Weather Channel... now 100% Chance of rain... but they didn't say when it was going to start. I'm hoping for later than 3pm. Hourly shows it starting at 9:00am.... Grrrrr! Next March can't come soon enough!
RAINED OUT. 12 second Club will have to wait until next year.

True enough...
I don't know what the stock wire diameter is, but will take you as a man of your word, will delete it from my sig.
Already working on a deal to get the headers, etc... installed. Trading some "Contracts" work for labor at the local repair shop. Sweet deal!
Still looking for;
1) Drag Radials; Likely going w/Nitto NT555R's or NT05R's stock size 275-40/17's
2) Another set of Rims; Either stock SS rims to mount the DR's, or a set of GTO Spares (w/ DOT skinnies) for the front.
3) Stall Converter; thinking Yank 2800 to 3600 RPM

If you do a lot of street driving and/or drive in the rain go with the NT555's. If you want a more serious tire that will only last a few thousand miles and is scary in the rain go NT05R's, they are much stickier, aggressive tire.
Go right to a 3,600 stall, maybe even 4,000. Don't bother with a 2,800. I promise a good, quality (Yank and others) stall will not be an issue to drive on the street dont be scared. I DD a 3,200 in my truck and wish it was bigger.

M&H's... Cool. I wonder if Marvin Rifchin (Sp?) is still running M&H. Back in 1987 I bought a set of the G70-15's Soft Compounds for the '88 SuperCar Showdown for my Mustang 5.0. Hooked great, but were terrible in the rain back then :-) But didn't bother me. He got them sent out next day as a favor to me thanks to Chuck Green who put on the SuperCar Showdown from 86-87. Definitely will check out the M&H's.
Thanks for the input!

I'll be using that approach when it comes to the Hooker L/T headers, DLS2 Intake, 92mm TB as well. Tough to know, but assume all the Tunes posted have had some sanity check before HPT posts them for public consumption. Just sent my current tune for "Free Mods" and other adjustments, hope it is worthy (good).
DR's.... Kinda depends on whether I get a spare set of rims so they can be swapped for the DD tires at the track, or even if I get a pair of skinnies for the front, which would also free up 2 rims, decisions, decisions...
Thanks, appreciate the input!

1 Week Count Down...
March 10th is Opening Day for Mason-Dixon Dragway in Boonsboro, MD
I plan on being there the better of the 2 days, and looking for low 13's since I've got the Tune installed.
Gotta schedule garage time to get the Headers & ORY installed in the next couple of weeks, and test again.
And then it'll be time for the DLS2 Intake & WARR 92mm TB. And more track testing/fun...
Then as long as the tax man doesn't clean me out... a set of Drag Radials, sticking w/ stock size 275/40-17's

Weather... :-(
It maybe later this month before I can get those first of the season runs in. Next Saturday/Sunday forecast right now; Rain/Snow mix both days! Hope this year the weather isn't going to be a constant weekend issue!
Since I'm still running stock converter, will try launching off-idle to see if the flash hits harder without spinning the tires to try and get that 60' down to 1.9 range, current 2.04 - 2.06 pwr/braking to 1300 rpm, I know 2000 rpm spins em. Will try upping to around 1500 - 1700 and see what holds. So much testing, before the bolt-ons begin...
Come on sunny and 50 degrees!
Mike
