Exclamation finally in the 12s with my z28

went out to maple grove raceway (~528' above sea level) this past Friday for a TnT and KOTS event. the DA was about +1540
ran with street tires on nitto zr555 that are nearly bald. aired them down to 20-21psi
still learning on how to use the 3600 performabuilt stall. been foot braking to about 2800-2900 RPMs as anything above that and the brakes wouldn't hold and I lurch forward over the line. only got 2 good runs in and the first was a 12.6@108 with a 1.9 sixty and after a half hour ran a 12.59@109. with a 1.8 sixty. caulated the DA and the last run would be a 12.3@110
both runs the car did not even spin off the line so I know I can get off the line a lot better and get a lower sixty footer. was thinking about flashing the stall and hold the RPMs at a lower area like at 1500 and slamming the pedal instead for next time.
the vid below was against a wrx wagon, cant tell if it was a wrx or sti trim. there was a pewter formula 6speed there and the guy noted he runs low 12s but from what I had seen, he was cutting low 13s with trap speeds in the 111-112mph. he said he has at least lid and LT with a 3.5" catback but before the catback was running a dump/turndown after the Y merge which netted him his low 12s, dunno if he had a tune either.

thanks! I was hoping the stall would of netted an increase in mph by at least 1mph with the DA correction and better/lower sixty foot time. i'm gonna run at cecil sometime in September/October when the weather's dryer and cooler. i'll be very happy if I can muster a low 12 and be able to drive the car back home in one piece lol.

Planning on hitting up Cecil County tonight for their first TNT for the season with a few locals. no change in my setup minus a few tweaks in my tune. the other change this time around is I'm gonna try and flash the converter instead of brake stall (foot-brake, stall break etc). hopefully nothing breaks in/around my car *knock on wood*. weather calling to be windy but hopefully not a headwind. will post when I get back with any results.

well not much to update. got 4 runs in and each progressive run my sixty foot got worse and worse
my first run was the best with a 1.8 (12.43 at 112.4) then 2nd run 2.08 (12.6 at 111), followed by 2.27 (13.2 at 109) then the worse at 2.67 (14.x at 108)
I tried staging in both lanes but just couldn't hook and kept trying to maintain consistency with the stall/flash of the converter. tire pressure was at 22psi in the rears running the same nearly bald nittos zr555. did a light and short clean up of the tires. AFR ranged from 12.8 to 13.3 and shifting around 6200RPMs. at one point it shifted at 6300
only good things out of this was nothing broke and I picked up 2mph but that may had been due to the track since this was at cecil and the OP I went to maple grove.
DA last night was +560 which is about where cecil is.
my car is slow against some of the other newer cars there such as 6th gen Camaro running 11.8-11.9 at 119mph and coyotes running about the same. a few other mopar 392 chargers running mid to high 11s at 116-121 and a couple quick M3s running low 11s at like 126.
a couple of my buddies ran their cars. one was a stock 2017 focus RS with a 13.3 at 108 and a tuned ford fusion sport with a 12.8 at 109 IIRC
