So 3500 is more streetable than 3000?

The other way around. I believe that stock 4L60E comes stock with a 1800 stall, (Correct me if I am incorrect). The smaller the stall the more streetable. However if you are going to be getting a cam, look into what cam you want. The bigger the cam you get the bigger stall you need. If you go to thunderracing.com that is where I got my cam, a thunder racing custom grind cam. If you go to that site it will show you the different cams and the size of stall you need to get the peak performance out of the cam. Don't do what I did. I wanted to get a larger cam but I already had the 3500 stall, and did not want to dish out more money for another stall. But do your research before you spend money, nothing is worse then spending your money twice.

Thanks for the input, Im in California so there is no way i could get a big cam anyway. So would a vig3200 be good enough to peak out the performance on a mild cam?

vig are nice stalls but I personaly think they are over priced, $700.00 is a little steep. I paid $500.00 for my tci ssf 3500, But like I said research what cam your interested in getting then see what convertor will work best for it, Getting a large stall and a smaller cam is fine, but getting a smaller stall and a larger came you will be kicking your self in the ***

Well i have a bone stock engine and didnt want to go too extreme with it. Im about to upgrade some things. And when i get to the cam Im gonna upgrade my vig stall to either a 4000,4200 or 4400. As IMPORTPATROLWS6 stated the number reprents the rpm at which the stall will "flash" at when at WOT. I recall you said your parents were gonna dish out the $$$ for the stall right? If so stick with the vigilante. They may be high but they live up to EVERY word they say. Wether it be track times or warranty work. BTW they have a 2 year warranty on all stalls. A vig3200 would be fine for a cam thats not too radical. GL

Congrats on the times at the track. Not to be a ***** but drop the street racing sceen. i did that for about 2 years. then i got pinched by mass under cover unit and did some time. NOT FUN to say the least. I had a rep of being the guy to beat (which never happened) but the cops wanted me bad. Anyway forget the cam for now get more experence at the track and then put a converter in 3500 tci or vig. would be awesome. remember with a t.c. you must have a tranny cooler. don't forget that. also a good set of drag radials and you will be happy and in the 12s easy. GL and enjoy. Keep at the track man.
