Dude, teach me how to launch my car. All I can get is a 2.1 60". I'll admit I try not to break it though.

Thanks guys. I've had a few 1.82 60' times but always ended up in a blown shift . Needless to say, I think a low 12.2 may have been possible.
I forgot to mention that because the valvesprings were severely weak, I was forced to shortshift around 5500 rpms. Once in 4th gear, it began floating the valves around a couple hundred feet before the finish. The car now has new springs so I'm looking for faster times once the tracks around here open back up in the spring.
I weighed the car with me in it and it came in between 3670 and 3700 lbs depending on the amount of gas.

Trust me, I'm on a stock rear too so I don't want to break mine either. A couple seasons back, I went through 3 rears. I normally tach it up to around 2500 and try to walk it out from there. It isn't easy with the Mcleod clutch but not too bad with practice. The 4.10 gears help out alot.

Thanks. I was just as surprised that the car was coming around like it was. I hadn't raced it in the last year and really didn't think I could improve on my previous best of a 12.40 on drag radials.

The tires are toyo proxis4. They don't handle nearly as well as the Kuhmo tires did around corners but they do hook up well. I believe my best 60' with the kuhmos was a 1.84.

Yikes! That's a great 60' on street tires! If only I could cut one like that, I should be able to visit the low 12's! I have a cam, pulley and tune on the way to help with that, but it sounds like I need a driver mod now more than ever!

Wait wait
You say you were sort shifting at 5,500 all the runs? Care to explain more about this
You know if you bought this used, your car can have a stealth cam in it( stock idle but bigger than factory is common for sleeper cars)
Or somone tuned the hell out of this car

Nobody bash me about altitude or humidity because I race about as close to sea level as you can get and understand altitude perfectly.

I have a run a number of 12.5... with a best of 12.42 @ 113mph w/ best 60' 1.89, stock clutch, nitto DR on stock SS 17" wheels. I'm in South Florida/sea level and shift at 6000rpms, but still do not have LT or gears yet.

I guess I should be offended that you guys think I may have a cam but I'm actually flattered. My best time before this was a 12.40@112.8 on dragradials. No other changes have been made since then. I think the weather had alot to do with the good et. 50 degrees, 30.15 barometer and low humidity.
I got the car with 115k miles and it was almost stock with the only change being the skip shift delete mod. It didn't even have a performance air filter. The car dynoed low (296 rwhp with a lid) compared to others on this board and it had me worried that my motor may have been weak.
