Default 12 second DD?

What is the best way to get a very close to 12.000 second flat z28 while keeping there decent gas mileage and not standing out like a sore thumb to cop'ers.

Spray OR Head/cam with a very tame exhaust and a stall if an A4.

A converter,headers,off-road y-pipe and a few other bolt ons.My car runs 12.60's without a converter w/ minor bolt ons so i'm sure 12.00's would'nt be hard.

+1 for Spray. It's your best bet. Though heads/Cam would get you there too and sound ultra sweet in the process. Screw the cops, unless you are going WOT all the time, through LT's and a cutout, i wouldn't worry about it.

ive been doing research on converters myself lately and it seems that most people want to stay with yank or vigilante, just remember when it comes to modifying your car you get what you pay for

With the set up in my sig i ran 11.60s on Hankooks (only 100 shot). I sure an A4 with a stall would be more consistant and have a stronger 60' than my car is capable of, LOL!

Well, if you want to keep the cops happy you will need to consider how loud your exhaust is going to be... You might want to consider investing in a somewhat quiet catted exhaust setup, but you could always get some cutouts before the cats that you could open up when you wanted to..

I have PS LT's, ORY, and magnaflow CB. Very quiet setup, until I hit the switch on my electric cutout. Get one, you won't regret it. A wet kit is cheap these days.

Oh yea, with that 2.1 60' you could cut 2 -3 tenths off and you will be very close.
My brother an I had his 01 Z28 cutting a 1.75 60' and running 12.3

100-150 dry shot would be the cheapest and quickest way to bottom 12's high 11's

spray under the lid, tuck the noids out of the way, run black loom over all lines, bottle in the spare tire area and catch people slipping everywhere

you also have to look at the fact that he's a almost full bolt on car thats also has a healty little cam....a stall alone would be good for low to mid 12's on your setup....but IMO i think you'll need a bit more than a lid, gears and stall to hit 11's...not saying its impossible...im lookin for a 12.6/12.5 on my next trip out....added ET streets, 3.73's and i have a tune coming soon...might even get a bit more outta her...good luck on ur times though!

What everyone else said... pretty much all bolt-ons and a mild-sorta big cam or mild cam/heads... or spray.. tons of options

Good luck and have fun with it
