Did you read my thread opener?

I am not power shifting. I am, however, shifting very fast.

Update: Well, I went to the track last Thursday and tried my luck with the drag radials. Very first pass the clutch slipped bad on the 1st to 2nd shift, and completely gave out on the 2rd to 3rd shift. I had to let the clutch cool for over 30 minutes before I could drive it without it slipping in gear. I'm going to be getting an aftermarket clutch in, and I'm going to try again with the drag radials when I find time.

I had my clutch slipping really bad when I went to the track my first time. Thought it was done. It was just super hot and holds really well still over 1yr later. Crazy eh?

It's driving okay now, but I think I glazed the disk because it's chattering now. Oh well, I got a good deal on an LS7 clutch kit, it's going in tomorrow. I'm going to break it in going to work and leisure driving before the track this Thursday.

^ No he could sit at the light for 5 minutes and his time would be the same. Basically the clock only starts when you start moving enough to trip the staging beam.

The short shifter, 160 stat, and "free mods" are all mods done to make the car perform better; therefore they are "performance" mods and it can be argued that all or any of them will help you do better at the track. Therefore, you have more than 3 mods.

A tune is not a performance mod? A tune can give you from 10-25 hp over a stock tune. 160 t-stat also a performance mod, lower temp=more hp.

Just th facts ma'am.

I'm talking about engine modifications: those that directly relate to adding more horsepower. The thermostat allows the engine to run at a cooler operating temperature. It however is generally not an engine performance modification. The same is to be said with the free mods and the short shifter. They are to help my drive the car and to remove useless crap from the engine bay.

As far as the standard power making modifications (i.e. I/H/E), those are what I have.

Basically, if you are unhappy with my title thread, just rest assure that it's simply a bolt ons car.

No big deal, I was just letting you know how it's going to be interpreted. It's like people who say the car is bone stock and then you find out they were running Nittos; it's not quite accurate. I think you did well for your mods, all six of them.

J/K

BTW, what track are you running at?

It's just most people don't know how to shift fast or launch. Most bolt on LS1s down here run high 13s to low 14s. It appears nobody can drive their M6 car down the track properly. I get people asking all the time if I'm running a shot or something on the car. They are in disbelief when it's just bolt ons. Sorry to say, I didn't have the heart to tell them their 2 second granny shifts and or miss shifts don't help their 1/4 mile time.

It's really bad down here actually. I've yet to see a bolt ons M6 LS1 do 12s, other than myself. I mean the all motor Honda guys are whooping up on these guys running low 13s.

On a side note, the LS7 clutch is in and broken in. I'll be going to the track next week on drag radials to run mid to low 12s with just bolt ons....assuming the 10 bolt holds up.

Nice. I'm going to do some prepping tonight (change oil, flush fluids), and get it ready for the track tomorrow. The car is running great. I had the tune tweaked a bit more, to squeeze a bit more power out of my setup. The car has nothing new other than the LS7 clutch. If everything goes well and I drive it like I did last time, this car is going to see mid to low 12s on bolt ons.
