Detailing overview of black 07 CRV
This is the 2nd CRV we have done and I can do without seeing one for a bit
Interior wise the CRV was good, exterior wise it left a lot to desire. The exterior was heavily swirled with RIDS sporadically in the paint, very dull in appearance, water etching, and the plastic trim was dull and discolored.
This CRV was very different from the CRV the weekend before. The paint was crazy soft and very very prone to marring, even using a MF TOWEL!!!:yikes:, BUT only on the hood, driver side of the car (left side) and the rear bumper, passenger side acted completely different. This caused a lot of heartache for my partner and I, we worked and worked to identify a suitible process. We ultimately ended up with a 3 step correction to get the paint finished down correctly. Special care was taken working on and around the clear bra, we used only the 85RD on the clear bra, its the softest nano level polish we have.
After nearly 20 man hours it looks better then new inside and out. Quite a transformation and quite pleasing to look at now!
Oh and thanks for viewing!!!

This car was fairly challenging, I was not a fan of the paint at all, it would scratch just looking at it. It needs special care to be washed/maintained.
No more CRV's for me this year, I'm done with those

I've had a few mobile requests. But its a ton of work to pack up EVERYTHING and go to an unknown location on an already long day. We got lights and extention cords and tools everywhere that we need, its one thing to detail a car but another to do correction, and to do it right you need to be setup.
Thanks for the compliments.

Theres a couple mobile shops around here that make a KILLING, because they're the only people willing to do it. Just out of curiosity, what did you charge for that? I really do need to get something of that level done on this car.

But to answer your question a full correction and interior detail on a small SUV by a claimed proffesional will fluctuate anywhere from $4-700 most likely. It depends a lot on the process and materials, location, and how established they are.
I've seen this exact same level of detail done on a high end mercedes and it cost the owner nearly $1000. But the shop was well known and had a clientele of high end customers located in a more urban setting.
In our location I would expect that job to hover in the $500-550 ish range, with most cars in the $450-500 range. Lots of shops charge correction by the hour, typically $30-50 an hr. So it can add up.
We got a mobile crew that comes by our office and they charge about $200 for a wash and wax pretty much. So its a little pricey, but you do get them to come to you.

Danno....awesome job man....you def put a ton of hours into that one! I think all detailers have to love doing the work because you're never compensated enough for the amount of work and # of hours your put into a job. Well done!

The only tough part about your truck is you need to put it somewhere you can work on it. If you need help working on it, let me know. I have been practicing and getting some good results..
