Default Smoothed Truck Intakes

I am using a truck intake on my swap. I have an extra I was thinking about smoothing out. I used the search but only found pics of one. If anyone has done this I would appreciate some pics.

I need to get some pictures of mine online, hopefully in the next week or two, but it turned out really well I think. I basically ground EVERYTHING off the top, and then layed a couple of layers of fiberglass on top to cover up all the holes. Each of those protrusions on the older truck intake will be a 1" x 1.5" oval hole if you grind them out smooth. Probably 5 hours total of work, not counting all the curing time for the fiberglass and paint, but worth every minute for how much better it looks.

I believe the gains are in the looks of the manifold as they are talking about smoothing the outside.

looks like they cut out and patched all the bungs or what ever they are and smoothed it. That looks awesome, I'm gonna have to look into a plastic welder.

I also painted mine.
The sanding is a bit boring since the plastic tends to clog your sandpaper.
Bwefore sanding though I used a "hobby saw" (for the lack of a better name) and then used the carbide bits ion my high speed grinder to create a sort of smooth finish.
Then the final sanding... I did not take it to where I wanted since I got tired of it, then some adhesion promoter, filler primer, metallic silver, and a coat of clear.
It really attracts attention on my C-10.
