With HP Tuner what do the VE Numbers mean?

So when I make changes on step #4, does it really mean multiply? or do I multiply .60 which would be 60% of the value?
1. Idle Limiters --> Idle Speed: 950
2. Idle Limiters --> IAC Park Position: Raise all points from 40C and up to 21
3. Idle Limiters --> Idle Air In Gear: All points 60C and up to 8.6
4. Fuel --> Main VE Table: Multiply column 400 rpm by 60. Multiply column 800 by 80. 5. Multiply column 1200 by 90.
5. Ignition --> High Octane Table: Add 2 deg to all points 400 to 1000 RPM, .08 to .32 g/sec

P Mack, Did you have to make many changes in your VE for your C1?
I've been taking some advise I've seen passed around regarding cams and low RPM VE changes, and my truck seems to idle best with almost stock tuning. I've tried VE changes as low as 70, 80, 90 percent, and as high as 90 and 95 for just the 400 and 800 columns.
It could be the fact that I'm running a cam with a very minimal amount of bolt-ons, so the true effects from a cam this size aren't felt as strong as full bolt-on motors.

Sounds good. I'm wondering if the extra size of my motor swallows up the little '220 even more. I have no starting issues at all on stock programming. If I do mod anything to the leaner side, my cold starts actually get a little erratic.

Thanks, Now I understand. Can you explain what step 5 means? I am assuming that in hptuners I just add 2 to each value? Is there anything else that I should change in order to get this trex running in my A4. Im not looking for perfect, just enough to drive it without fouling out the plugs. Thanks in advance

Not to highjack your post man, but I'm trying to do the same thing with the same cam (T-rex) w/ an M6. I set my target idle at 1000 rpm. Should I still do this: "Main VE Table: Multiply column 400 rpm by 60%. Multiply column 800 by 80%. Multiply column 1200 by 90%." Or since my target idle is 1000 rpm, should I do 1200 by 60%, 1600 by 80%? Or 1200 by 80% and 1600 by 90%? Or is this TOO much?
Also, my VE tables are in kPa, not g/cyl. Does this make any difference for the %'s to change these? I too am worried about fouling plugs.

I am installing it tomarrow (technically in about 5 hours). I did that to mine, I will let you know if it worked out.

In this portion of tune I am suppost to add 2 to each value? I am assuming it is in degress.
I added 150 to each value wiht my In Gear AC Off values and it idles great. Did not die once. Thanks for all the help guys.
