Default T-Rex results (cam-only A4)

The T-rex was installed 2 weeks ago and I had it tuned on a Mustang Dyno last week. I wasn't real happy with the results 338hp, but the tuner assured me that on a Dynojet it would be about 12-13% higher. Just to see I set up an appointment on a Dynojet and drove to Nashville Friday afternoon in the rain

The first pull shifted down into 2nd at 50mph and was aborted. The torque spike looked good though The second and third pulls were started at 60mph and pulled to 6800rpm so the results were better. The best of the day was 381.4hp and 410.8tq through an unlocked TCI 4400 converter. I'm pretty happy concidering my car has always dynoed low.

When it was Stock Internal it dynoed 304 hp unlocked through the TCI 4400. So it picked up 77rwhp with just a T-Rex cam.

Here is the graph.

The guy that tuned it for me did a really good job. It drives great once it has warmed up. He hasn't gotton the cold start idle down yet because the car has never been sitting long enough to cool down. He has only tuned it one time and that was the day I took it for the dyno tune. I may see if I can leave it with him for a few days so he can get the cold start idle better, but that is kinda hard to do since this is my daily

Wow, a T-Rex and a 4400 stall as a daily driver. You're my hero!

Cool man! Glad to see you got it in there and tuned up. Were you running the Trex when you were down at Steele a few weeks ago? The car sounded pretty mild then. There are a couple of local A4 guys here with that same cam in their daily cars

Yep I had the cam in then. Like I said Scott did an excellent job tuning it. It also helps that I have 4x9 Magnaflow's on my duals to quieten it down some.

Let me know the next time you are coming down and I'll check out the exhaust a little closer. I want a true dual setup, but don't want alot of noise.

havent heard that one before
is this better flowing or quieter
(or both???)
than the other high flow quiet options
i.e. two-on-the-left, xr1.. ?

The Magnaflow 4x9 mufflers are 3" straight through. They are not quiet, but are quieter than bullets, twisters, or xr1's

Here is a clip of them at idle:

Congrats! Looks like your track times are pretty awesome so I would not be too concerned with dyno numbers!

the magnaflow 4x9 are about as quiet as you will get from what I could find. Video in my sig is with them. They are relatively quiet until I step on it.

Hardly any drone at all. They are not much louder than a catback inside the car going down the highway, but they awesome when you get on it.
