To me, there is "balanced", and "unbalanced". Please define "overbalanced" for those of us unfamiliar with the term.

As in lighter pistons and rods with a stock crank at 8000+ RPM, sure!

High end shops will overbalance to allow for oil weight from windage. Pretty common. Lance you have talked about this before I believe, no?

This came up awhile ago, many still argue if balancing is even worth it considering how many 1000+whp engines have mismatched parts and don't care.

Default Rod Bearing Life

Many here ask about ways to increase "engine life".
The Overbalanced Crankshaft will increase Rod Bearing duration at higher RPM.

I remember Steve Morris did a video on engine balancing a while back and he touched on over/under balancing.
