What ring package are you running, Hellfire only represents the top ring construction. You would need to know the entire combination to properly choose the correct surface finish.
Why in the world are you running these rings anyways? I would hope, anyone who would be playing with this type of ring, would know how to properly prep the bores? If your machinist is unsure...you either need to find another one, or have him contact SP.

You could always finish hone with a 280 grit. I don't think these rings require a plateau hone, but others may disagree. It is a very tough top ring that will take tons of heat. The second and oil rings included with that set are standard Speed Pros. I would stick with a 280 finish.

you can get the hellfire tops with any anterior ring package.
Your combo does not necessarily warrant hellfire rings. Normally they are only needed with nitrous motors that make more NA HP than your combo will total.
Yes, they are better than sliced bread...but if used improperly, will cause lost HP, and many other negative side effects.

Its still a barrel faced top ring like your Moly rings are but with no moly to flake off if and when you detonate etc. It's also made of a tougher material that can stand more heat without losing tension. I don't run any different finish for them then on my Plasma Moly rings and have no problems at all. It's a conventional plateaued finish of course.
